What
is Media Services?
MMS
provides several services to help you deal with various
media types. We can assist you with converting from
one file type to another, data storage, data recovery, and
data destruction.
File
Conversion
With the variety of file formats and storage media types
used today, MMS
has found that the need exists to convert between various
formats and to transfer files between various media.
This can be best explained through example:
- Photos
that you now have stored on 3.5" disk can be
transferred to CD or DVD for more economical, more
permanent storage. A 3.5" disk can hold only
about ten 100k images, whereas a DVD can hold more than
47,000 of the same sized images!
- MMS
can now convert your files to the publishing industry
standard PDF format, used by most printers and
publishers.
- Businesses:
Don't loose your valuable data. Non-copyrighted
data files can be transferred to CD or DVD for permanent
archiving. MMS
can also STORE your archived data in a secure location,
away from your facility. Inquire for more

- Have you
ever tried to bring photos into certain graphics
programs, only to be told that the image is in an
unrecognized or unsupported format? MMS
can assist you in converting these files into the
formats you need. MMS
currently provides support for 29 graphics formats.

MMS
can also
transfer your photos and data files onto CD or DVD media for
permanent, secure storage.
Data
Recovery
MMS can
now recover deleted files from 3.5" disks, hard
drives, and SmartMedia cards, even if part of the file has
already been written over. There may be some data that
cannot be recovered, but, in many cases, entire files can be
recovered.
Data
Destruction
MMS can
also permanently delete obsolete sensitive data from
your hard drive, USB thumb drive, or from virtually any
medium. When you delete files on your computer, the
files are not actually deleted, but rather the space they
occupy becomes available for storing new files. Your
deleted files can be recovered in many cases, unless they
are destroyed properly. MMS
can recover your "deleted" files and then destroy
them beyond any possible recall.
